Today's lessons: Hendo is an idiot and Jon Jones is a dirtbag

In the span of an hour, a bunch of crap went down that has pretty much ruined my plans for next Saturday.

First, this rumor floated around the Internet, with the implication that Dan Henderson had managed to injure his knee a mere two weeks out from his title fight with UFC World Light Heavyweight Champion Jon "Bones" Jones.

Then, this release from the UFC's site revealed that the rumor was not only true, but that next week's card is being scrapped completely (which should make UFC 152 later in the month the new UFC 151).

Why is that, do you ask? Because according to Caged Insider's follow-up piece, Jones had accepted the initial replacement of Chael Sonnen, who was willing to fight on two weeks' notice, but dropped out at the last minute.

And by last minute, I mean like an hour before the replacement fight was announced. With Lyoto Machida as the next option, Dana White made that match. But Machida just fought on the UFC on Fox card this month, and was considered unable to prepare for a title match properly.

And because the rest of the card is pretty pedestrian and not conducive to promotion, the card is dead.

First of all, thank you to Sonnen for having the cajones to take that fight, and I'll be rooting for him to get a title shot for his efforts. Shame, however, goes to Jones for killing this fight.

I don't like that Hendo got himself hurt, but I can't put too much on him. I can go off on the jerk-off who backed out of the replacement fight after saying yes to it.

I have no problem saying that Jones ducked Sonnen on this one. Chael's coming for you, dude!
