UFC on Fuel 4 Picks

The busy week for Zuffa continues today with the UFC on Fuel event.

Strikeforce puts two of their titles on the line this Saturday, but today is about the potential No. 1 contendership of Mark Muñoz, as he faces Chris Weidman in a middleweight bout.

Muñoz sits along with Michael Bisping, Alan Belcher, Brian Stann and Hector Lombard as notable names who could conceivably gain their first title shot.

A win against Weidman would probably move him into the forefront of that group while a loss puts him definitively behind the other four and probably gets Weidman into the discussion.

This is the only fight on the card where I have a strong bit of knowledge about the fighters, as I've seen both fights a couple of times either live or from past videos.

That's not to say I am completely in the dark on other fights, but I've only seen a little of most of these guys and even had to look a few up. One of the downsides of UFC going so deep is that it's becoming a challenge to follow the divisions all the way down.

Anyway, for this fight, I'll be blunt: Muñoz is going to get this fight to the ground and it is going to suck to be Weidman when he does. I expect Muñoz to win by submission in Round 2.

Rest of the Main Card

Light Heavyweights: James Te Huna v. Joey Beltran - Te Huna by KO 1

Welterweights: Aaron Simpson v. Kenny Robinson - Simpson by decision

Middleweights: Karlos Vernola v. Francis Carmont - Vernola by decision

Bantamweights: T.J. Dillashaw v. Vaughan Lee - Dillashaw by KO 3

Lightweights: Rafael dos Anjos v. Anthony Njokuani - Njokuani by decision

I'll talk more in-depth for Strikeforce this weekend, so be ready. Enjoy the fights!
