I can't believe it, but next week is the last Bellator event in Season 6.
Next week, the company will close out it's first tournament season under the Viacom banner with a Heavyweight Championship bout between Cole Konrad and Eric Prindle. Additionally, the lightweight tournament will end and the bantamweight tournament will finally have it's final set. (The bantamweights and welterweights will decide their tournaments in the Summer Series.)
Other than that, though, I am just going to briefly touch on the matches this week since this is the second of three events in the span of five days.
Middleweight Tournament Final: Maiquel Falcao v. Andreas Spang
The winner will get a title shot with the prior tournament winner for the title Hector Lombard vacated. This comes down to Falcao's BJJ black belt vs. Spang's striking background.
Having seen the gym Spang fights in, I can honestly say that his training is top notch. His balance in fighting will be able to keep him around, and I'll take Spang to pull off the upset by KO in the first round.
Welterweight Semifinal: David Rickels v. Karl Amoussou
I have been on Amoussou's side since the start of this season. I see his judo black belt coming into play here and him winning by submission in Round 2.
Rest of the Main Card
Women's 125 lb. bout: Megumi Fujii v. Jessica Aguilar - Fujii by submission (Round 1)
Heavyweights: Ron Sparks v. Kevin Asplund - Sparks by decision
